2. Who can use the building and is there a cost?

If you are on the calendar you can use the building. Anyone can get on the calendar by contacting the Rainier Historic Society, call 360-446-1040 or by contact through this web site. Depending on the use (one room or the building, a one time use or a weekly meeting) you may have to bring your request to the board. There will in most cases be a fee to help with the building expenses although there may be some exceptions.

3. How can I help get the building ready for community use?

At present there are things that can use help. The exterior is finished. Yea... There is much to do on the interior. As funds come in we will continue to restore class rooms etc. but cleaning of the building needs help. We need funds to keep the building going. That means that Thrift Store workers are necessary every Wednesday through Saturday and shoppers need to make use of the bargains we have. At present everyone connected to the building is a volunteer. All thrift store funds go to utilities and restoration. The library is helping to supporting itself.
