The Rainier Roundup happens on the fourth weekend of August when Blue Grass Bands roll into Wilkowski Park and many fun activities occur. The 2010 Round Up will be held on August 27, 28 and 29th. It is never too early to mark your calendar to make sure you don't miss a great weekend right here in Rainier. The Vendors are sponsored by the Rainier Historical Society. For a space call Karen at 446-2303 or pick up an application during July and August at the Historic School Thrift Store or Rainier City Hall.
Round Up Events on August 27 thru 29 will be an informal weekend of Bluegrass pickin' and grinnin' @ Wilkowski Park. Friday night dinner, sponsored by the Rainier Chapel where a little pickin and grinnin' may come into play also. Corn is served every evening at the park and the Senior Center Bake sale is found at the Blue Grass gate. Vendors Row opens on Friday morning and we are hoping to have about 45 vendors present.
On Saturday: morning the Sr. Center sonsors a pancakes breakfast before the Round Up Parade at 11 a.m. (Get applications for the parade at city hall.) There is a Classic Car Show at City Hall, Vendors Row, and the Bluegrass Shows. Sunday brings the Gospel Jam and many of the vendors are on vendors row until mid afternoon.
