We Need You!
|
| |
The Rainier Historical Society is looking for members and supporters.
We need support to renovate the Historic School. Using this historic building makes sense. It was built with old growth timber and has come through many an earthquake without damage to it's structure. Can we say as much for our capitol or some of our homes? When renovated it will house many things. Among them a local library. The food and clothing bank is already up and running. We will have a youth center and meeting rooms for the area. It makes sense folks! Please see your way clear to make the Historic School one of your regular charities. Thank you.

The Schoolhouse itself is in the restoration mode. There is demolition, electrical lites, plumbing, pipe, etc. to be removed. Drywall installation, tape and bed, texture ceilings and walls. New electric lines, lights, ceiling fans installed. More paint, paint, paint. Stripping of layers of old paint off of woodwork (doors, trim, moulding) and refinish with sanding and varnish.
